Chuck and Diane Rute purchased this 2009 Dark Candy Apple Red Premium GT California Special Convertible brand new right off the showroom floor in April of 2009 as a toy, which he has dubbed "Big Red".
Right away Chuck cracked open the Ford Mustang accessory catalog and went to work. First, had his Ford dealer paint the black enamel Le Mans style stripes on the car and install the Ford illuminated roll bar. Next he ditched the factory hood prop rod in favor of a Redline Tuning hood strut Quick Lift Plus system, and installed a Shelby black aluminum hood pin kit. he says he was reluctant to drill through the hood at first, but as you can see it paid off. |
Chuck's mod list goes under the hood as well with a super clean engine bay indicative of a Mustang that has never seen rain or snow. Chuck also says he does not drive the car daily and has only racked up 10,000 miles on the odometer in the almost eight years that he's owned Big Red. The strut tower brace and intake manifold cover have been accented with matching red paint. Chuck and Diane turned to Bama and American Muscle for a custom 93 octane tune to compliment the BBK cold air intake kit. |
With the exception of tinted windows, the Interior remains stock and untouched as there's not much improvement to be had over the already stunning stock CS two-tone leather upholstery.
|

The rear of the car has been treated to a GT/CS third brake light overlay and has had with a set of Pypes Violator axel backs. Chuck claims he doesn't have any more mods planned but in the same breath he states that he has been looking at wheels and tires recently.
