The front of the car boasts BMR adjustable front control arms, VIS carbon fiber hood with 3 inch cowl, and blacked out grill. Additionally, Alton's Mustang sports Raxiom Retro style headlights planted inside of a GT bumper. According to Alton, he rolls on a "cheap" set of Stern Beast 20" wheels wrapped in Nitto 555's. |
Lift the grabber Blue hood and you'll notice the stock intake manifold has been striped in favor of an Eaton MP 90 super charger running a 2.8 inch pulley forcing 10lbs of boost! Fuel is delivered via upgraded 38lbs fuel injectors. The burnt fuel and air mix exhales thru a Ford Racing stainless steel manifolds pushing thru a catless X pipe eventually leading out a set of dual MBRP axel back muffler deletes. |
The back end was treated to a rear spoiler delete, APR carbon fiber rear diffuser fitted over a GT bumper and dual exhaust.
Hiding in the 7.5 inch rear end is a set of 4:10 gears and Eaton Tru Trac differential utilizing BMR rear lower control arms and adjustable pan hard bar to keep things centered. |
All that power is useless if you can't stop. For that task, Alton recruited a set of EBC slotted rotors and performance brake pads.
Before the rear end modifications, Alton managed to run 13.6 quarter mile with a 99.6 mph trap speed with the stock differential twisting 3.31 gears and is eager to see what she runs now the locker and 4.10 ratio out back. Certainly he will bruising the egos of a few V8 and GT owners at red lights and on the track.
Although this build has been totally random and unplanned, it has turned out great so far. Future mods include stage 3 ported and polished heads and cams, methanol injection kit, and possibly changing compression ratios to accommadate12lbs of boost. Alton also plans to add drag radials and to repaint the car, as it is his daily driver which has been subjected to his heavy foot style of driving.
