2009 Roush 427R
While strolling through the rows of Fords gathered on the lot of Sharp Cars, this Torch Red Roush reached out and grabbed me. I walked around to the drivers side windshield to check see what year it was, the vin revealed it was in fact a 2009 model. A glowing giddy feeling rushed over me like one would experience when finding the Golden Ticket in a Willy Wonka Chocolate Bar....quickly followed by a quick relapse of CDD (chronic dumbass disease) when I noticed all the original factory paper work was tacked to the other side of the windshield.
I seen a couple sitting behind the car, on a hunch, I approached them and asked if they were the owners. My mental gamble paid off and the owners were as eager to give me a tour of the car as I was to learn about it!
I
Lift the lid on the front to find the standard Roushcharged 435HP motor in unmolested factory condition. A Roush 9 Bar grill was an option on the 427R, but not very many folks checked that box on the option sheet. Either way, the factory Ford GT grill looks great and works well with the 427 and 429 models.
My signature wheel pic above. I love how these low angle shots turn out but bad knees are making them less frequent these days.
Although a two owner car, Teresa and Merill have all the original documents for this stunning ride. I was also surprised to learn that this particular example is has almost 45,000 miles on it! The car showed 30,000 miles when they acquired it but has since It has made the trip from Indiana to Florida as well as a few trips to Tennessee and other regional events.
Aside from a few tiny rock dings on the fascia that the owner had to point out to me, this 427R is in showroom condition, exceptionally clean and with no interior wear to indicate the cars' mileage. Not surprising given the fact that this is the Miller's 13th Mustang they've owned and Merill served as MCA sanctioned show judge in his earlier years.
Below, the trunk is full of all the original documentation and a Mustang Place sign from the Signstore.com booth.
